The Opportunity

We are looking for a key contributor to our business success who will be responsible for managing the supply chain, contract manufacturing and vendor relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality products at the optimum cost. This position is located at our office in Burnaby.

The Candidate

You are a responsible and skilled professional, able to see the "big picture", with excellent communications and presentation skills, a strong record of effective product delivery and supplier management, operations experience in an R&D environment, manufacturing savvy, and at least 7 years experience in:
• Managing the supply chain and vendors
• Acting as the liaison with local and Asian contract manufactures
• Procurement, production and logistics
• Provide leadership and drive in the ongoing analysis and improvement of company operations
• Managing inventory levels of a growing company
• negotiating prices and evaluating quotes
• Effective use of MRP systems
• Developing quality control initiatives and driving them to ensure product quality and maximum manufacturing yield
• Tracking, prioritizing and scheduling product delivery
• Managing customer support, RMA processes, initiating ECNs
• Working with Sales, Marketing and Engineering to define customer requirements and address all support issues
• Be detail-oriented and organized
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess strong organizational, communication and time management skills
• Be able to manage competing priorities under changing timeliness with a decisive focused approach
• Familiarity which Great Plains an asset but not required

Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an energetic and engaging individual to work as the full time Administrative and Accounting Assistant reporting to our CFO, at our office in Burnaby.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Assistant (75%):

• Accounts Payable Data Entry
• Daily filing and support for Finance
Administrative Assistant (25%):

• Order office supplies

• Arrange and handle incoming / outgoing courier packages
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail
• Reception Desk functions
• Process incoming calls and faxes

Requirements:

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office

Senior Hardware Design Engineer

You are willing and able to take ownership of hardware design projects of significant complexity and scale with minor guidance from more senior engineering staff. You will provide technical, engineering process, and work flow guidance to other HW design staff and provide systems engineering feedback to other groups at Icron. You have demonstrated proficiency in:

• Specification and other documentation
• Component selection balancing features, cost, power, size and availability
• Schematic capture and PCB layout
• FPGA development
• Hardware verification and lab debugging

And knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Broad system knowledge in interconnection technology (Ethernet, 802.11, USB, PLC) and digital video technology (DVI, HDMI, etc.)
• FPGAs, processors, DSP devices, power supplies, and clocking elements
• DFT and DFM, manufacturing support, and cost control
• ESD and EMI mitigation. Design support for FCC, CE and other approvals

You will be a key contributor to our development efforts, and must be proficient in working within a mixed software/hardware/FPGA/ASIC development environment.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in Canada and will have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Engineering or related field.

Systems Design Manager

Are you a strong and experienced hardware designer with the ability to effectively manage others? If you are a system design ace and can lead a hardware and system design team to do great things, show us how you will be a critical asset to Icron and how you are going to help transform the next generation of USB extension and networking chipsets.

We are building a first-class engineering team, with a requirement for a keen, savvy Systems Design Manager to drive the evolution of our patented USB bridging technology.

The Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership in the development of commercial and consumer system-level products for Icron's ExtremeUSB technology.

As Systems Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating team of development engineers, support engineers, and consultants. Within the engineering organization, you will coordinate with the ASIC team and with the office of the CTO. You will also work closely with product marketing and manufacturing in the definition, development, and introduction of Icron products and solutions into the marketplace.

This position reports to the VP Engineering, and is based at company headquarters in Burnaby, BC.

The Candidate

You are an extremely skilled and proactive hardware design engineer with 8+ years of systems design and project management experience plus a minimum of 3 years of successful team management experience, and have a long and solid record of producing desired results.


You are eager to solve problems and produce products. You will be able to juggle hands-on design work with directing the work of others. You will provide technical, engineering process, and work flow leadership to the HW design staff, will provide systems engineering feedback to other groups at Icron and external Icron partners, and will work closely with manufacturing.
You have demonstrated proficiency in:

• Guiding, motivating, and mentoring others. Establishing priorities and tasks for a technical team across multiple projects, and repeated success in meeting schedules. Building tools and procedures that support excellence.
• Broad system expertise in interconnection technology (Ethernet, 802.11, USB, PLC) and digital video technology (DVI, HDMI)
• Design expertise that covers complex multi-chip boards including issues of timing, power, and signal integrity. FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog.
• Developing architectures balancing features, cost, power, size and manufacturability

And knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• FPGAs, processors, DSP devices, power supplies, and clocking elements
• DFT and DFM, manufacturing support, and cost control
• Experience dealing with EMI issues and managing regulatory approval processes (FCC, CE, etc.)

You will be a key contributor to our development efforts, and must be proficient in working within a mixed software/hardware/FPGA/ASIC development environment.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in Canada and will have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Engineering or related field. A Masters degree is desirable.
