The core group that leads the company has extensive experience in all aspects of Icron’s business activities:
President and Chief Executive Officer
Robert Haefling brings to Icron over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in Fortune 100 and high-growth companies in North America and Europe. Prior to joining Icron Technologies, he was the Vice President and General Manager for ST Microelectronics’ TV, Monitor and DisplayPort Division. Before joining ST Microelectronics, Mr. Haefling held senior management positions including CEO of Meridian Audio; a U.K. based high-end developer and manufacturer of audio and video products, and he served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Genesi Microchip’s DisplayPort and Monitor division. While at Genesis, he also held the position of Vice President of Corporate Marketing and General Manager of Genesis Microchip’s Faroudja division. Prior to Genesis, Mr. Haefling worked for Sage as Vice President of Business Development for the Video Division and oversaw sales and marketing for the Systems Business Group. He joined Genesis Microchip as a result of Sage’s acquisition in March 2002. Prior to that, he has held executive managerial, sales and marketing positions at technology companies including Bell Microproducts and Texas Instruments.
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance
Todd Hamel is a former Controller of ADC Mobile Systems, San Diego and PCS Solutions of Vancouver, both affiliates of ADC Telecommunication Inc. in Minneapolis. He has held various finance positions with Glenayre Technologies, both in the US and Canada.
Mr. Hamel holds a Certified Management Accounting designation.
Vice President, Engineering and Technology
Sukhdeep Hundal has been involved with design and development of technology products for over 16 years. Mr. Hundal has provided technical guidance and leadership to teams in the arena of complex system integration of software and hardware for a wide range of wireless, video, voice, multimedia and networking products. Mr. Hundal has built and led high performance multidisciplinary, multisite teams for creative new product developments using leading edge technologies. The products designed and developed by Mr. Hundal and his teams have surpassed the multi-million mark of units produced for the consumer electronics market. Prior to joining Icron, he held various design and development management positions at Vtech and Sierra Wireless, significantly contributing to the growth of these companies.
Mr. Hundal’s background includes a Masters Degree in Science in Communications & Radio Engineering from King’s College, University of London, UK and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Electrical Communications from Punjab University, India.
Vice President of MarketingAs Icron’s VP of Marketing, Mr. Antonelli is responsible for the company’s global marketing strategy, including product management, product marketing and corporate marketing. He brings over 20 years of experience in strategic marketing, product marketing and product development. Prior to joining Icron, he held senior marketing roles at TELUS, Sierra Wireless, and Rogers Communications.
Mr. Antonelli holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Communication from Simon Fraser University.
Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Mr. Wigboldus is accountable for growing Icron’s global revenue and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. He is responsible for the development and management of the company’s direct and channel sales, customer support and building new partnerships.
An entrepreneurial veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Wigboldus brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and business development experience to this role. Prior to Icron, he worked at Allstream, Counterpath and Sutus. He was a senior leader and founder at ADZILLA new media and held sales leadership and operational roles at Voyus, C1 Communications, MetroNet, AT&T International and TELUS.
Mr. Wigboldus holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia and participated in the Sales and Marketing program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
