BURNABY, B.C. – Icron Technologies Corporation (CDNX: IT), a leading provider of extended range high-performance connectivity technologies for the computer marketplace, announced that it has shipped the largest purchase order received by the company to date.
Icron has supplied over seven hundred of its ExtremeUSB³ Core units to a division of Siemens AG, based in Europe. Shipments were completed in December 2001. Icron worked with one of its US based distributors in negotiating and managing logistics for the order.
The ExtremeUSB³ Core products will be used in an industrial computing environment and will form a part of control systems for industrial machinery. Icron¡s ExtremeUSB³ Core units will facilitate long-distance connections between computer peripheral devices and the control system processors.
Icron has identified the Industrial Controls market as a focus of the company¡s sales and marketing efforts.
