Logitech and Icron Team to Deliver an Exceptional Video Collaboration Experience
BURNABY, BC – December 13, 2018 – Icron, a leader in USB and video extension technology, today announced that it has joined the Logitech Collaboration Program (LCP) in the program’s Complementary Solutions track. Through the Logitech Collaboration Program, Icron will deliver an exceptional user experience via a proven and mutually validated integration. Customers who purchase Logitech video collaboration products, along with a USB 3-2-1 Raven extender system from Icron, can now receive a solution that is optimized for groups to collaborate anytime and anywhere.
Icron’s USB 3-2-1 Raven 3104 is the world’s first backward-compatible USB 3.1 extender system for up to 100m over a single CAT 6a/7 cable, while the USB 3-2-1 Raven 3124 provides up to 200m extension over OM3 multi-mode fiber for applications requiring additional distance. Both models include the ExtremeUSB-C™ suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug-and-play operation (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems including Windows®, macOS™, Linux® and Chrome OS™. The Raven extender systems allow integrators to incorporate Logitech conference cams and webcams into more meeting room spaces where USB cable limitations previously caused installation challenges.
“Logitech is transforming video conferencing with leading-edge USB3 camera systems like BRIO, MeetUp and Rally,” said Glenn Antonelli, director of business management at Icron. “With today’s interop announcement, installers can be confident in using Logitech cameras with our Raven extenders up to 100 meters over copper or 200 meters over fiber, while still realizing quality 1080p resolutions.”
“We are pleased that Icron has joined our program,” said Scott Wharton, vice president and general manager of Logitech Video Collaboration. “By closely collaborating with Icron and its USB 3-2-1 Raven extender solutions, we are able to offer a better user experience to our joint customers by taking USB cable limitations out of the equation for video conferencing.”
