Burnaby, British Columbia – May 30, 2017 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, announced today that IHSE, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced KVM systems, will feature a live demonstration of USB 3.0 switching with their Draco tera enterprise switch using Icron’s patented ExtremeUSB® technology at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Florida, June 14-16.

IHSE’s Draco tera enterprise switch is a high performance, modular KVM matrix system for bi-directional distribution of high definition video up to 4Kp60, audio, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 signals. High speed switch versions are available in a variety of sizes including an industry-leading 576 I/O ports, which can be configured for transmission using CAT 5e/6/7, multimode fiber or singlemode fiber cabling in any combination for maximum flexibility.

The live demonstration will feature IHSE’s hot key triggered connection switching between two USB 3.0 flash drives at a remote work station via the two-port Series 417 USB 3.0 fiber extender. The 417 USB 3.0 extender includes the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, macOS™ and Linux®.

“The Series 417 USB extender makes it easy to transport lightning-fast USB 3.0 over long distances,” said Dan Holland, IHSE USA’s Marketing Manager. “By integrating into our Draco KVM matrix switch system, it becomes the ideal solution for sharing large video files between multiple laptops and desktop editing stations in a professional AV environment.”

“High bandwidth 4K video and USB 3.0 data transmission are now well established realities for professional AV operators,” said Glenn Antonelli, Vice President of Marketing at Icron. “Combining IHSE’s high end Draco tera enterprise switch along with our ExtremeUSB extension technology, provides customers with a world class KVM matrix switching solution to meet even the most demanding of application content delivery expectations.”
