CDNX: ICM
Vancouver, B.C.

Icron Systems Inc. announced today its first distribution agreement for USB Ranger products with Alan Sarfaty & Associates, Inc. (ASA) of Plainview, New York.

ASA is the largest Manufacturer’s Representative organization servicing the professional audio visual industry. ASA operates in the twelve states identified as the Northeast region of the US. They have offices in Plainview NY, Washington DC and Boston MA. Their customer base includes a broad range of national distributors, systems integrators, audio visual dealers, photo dealers, broadcast and security dealers all servicing the corporate audio visual marketplace. ASA also assists its dealers and distributors in marketing to the U.S. federal government.

Mats Gerschman, Icron’s President and CEO stated, “Last week’s very successful INFOCOMM ProAV show in Anaheim CA demonstrates a growing demand for corporate presentation equipment and services. ASA has demonstrated an ability to link leading edge technology solutions with the needs of corporate customers.”

ASA President Alan Sarfaty stated, “We believe that in adding Icron’s ExtremeUSB extension products to our mix of corporate presentation solutions, we will enable a flexibility and path forward in digital connectivity that will be very well received in the channels we service and by the customers we reach.”

Icron’s horizontal market strategy for its enabling technology is quickly gaining momentum with the addition of this third market for its products. Sales are building in the initial KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse) marketplace and Icron announced last week its first sale into the entertainment (home audio) sector. This agreement with ASA marks Icron’s entry into a third key market sector as it continues to pursue a strategy to be the leader in extended range USB in a large number of markets.

Icron Systems Inc. of Vancouver, BC has invented ExtremeUSB technology, a practical means of extending the range of USB connections from 15 feet (5 meters) to over 300 feet (100 meters). Icron has applied for patents covering its inventions and is integrating its technology into a series of products for computing applications. Icron’s Ranger products are the only USB extenders that are “compliant” with the USB Implementers Forum’s requirements. Icron is committed to working with its partners to increase the total market for USB products by enabling a broad set of new applications that utilize ExtremeUSB. Icron is a publicly traded company and trades under the symbol ICM on the Canadian Venture Exchange.
