Adder Technology incorporates ExtremeUSB®
technology into the Adderlink X Series X-USB KVM extender
BURNABY, BC January 20, 2005 – Icron Technologies Corporation
(TSX Venture Exchange: IT.V), announced that Adder Technology
Ltd. of Cambridge, UK, is the latest manufacturer to embed
Icron’s ExtremeUSB® technology into their X-USB
KVM extender. The X Series X-USB is targeted at banks, data
centres and other high-density environments where optimization
of rack space is essential. The system extends full speed
USB, RGB video and analog audio over distances of up to 100
metres (325 ft.) using CATx UTP cable.
The global market for keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) switches reached US$545
million in 2002 and is expected to grow to US$927 million
by 2006, a compound annual growth rate of over 15%, according
to VDC, a technology market research firm.
