
Icron adds to Board of Directors
BURNABY, B.C., January 17, 2006 - Icron Technologies Corporation
(TSX Venture: IT), the developers of ExtremeUSB® today
announced the addition of James D. Skippen of MOSAID Technologies
Inc, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Skippen was previously
on the Board of Advisors of Icron providing guidance on our
intellectual property (IP) and business strategy.
James D Skippen is currently Senior Vice President, Patent
Licensing and General Counsel at MOSAID Technologies Inc.
MOSAID has distinguished itself as an intellectual property
powerhouse by licensing its patent portfolio to many of the
world’s best known electronics companies and has generated
more revenues from patent licensing than any other company
in Canada. Prior to joining MOSAID, Mr. Skippen led McCarthy
Tetrault’s technology law practice in Ottawa. Mr. Skippen
is a former Chairman of the Toronto Computer Lawyers Group
and a current member of the Executive of the Ottawa Technology
Law Group. Mr. Skippen is a frequent speaker at conferences
on technology licensing and has written numerous publications
concerning technology and the law. .
