Icron’s ExtremeUSB™ for Wireless USB edition
enables you to implement transparent wireless USB 2.0 functionality
into your products and applications over any wireless media
including UWB, 802.11 b/g/a/n or any proprietary radio link.
No drivers or changes to the host controller or operating
system are required making this a very cost effective and
user-friendly solution to implement.
The patented ExtremeUSB solution has been deployed into
thousands of applications that extend USB connections beyond
the standard desktop range of 5 meters, to over 100m over
UTP (Cat5) and over 2km over fibre. ExtremeUSB - Wireless
Edition applies to the RF environment, as it deals with the
inherent difficulties of delay, latency and power management
in a USB environment.
Icron’s Wireless USB solutions are also available
with varied performance options that suit the various USB
low, full(USB 1.1) and high speed(USB 2.0) operating requirements
of most devices.
Icron offers a family of products suitable for OEMs, distributors
and end users. Whether you wish to build ExtremeUSB for Wireless
technology into your own products, brand label an existing
design, or simply deploy a standard product, Icron has a
solution that will fit your needs.
Icron will also take on custom design projects to adapt an
existing design or to create an entirely new product that benefits
from our in-depth knowledge of the USB specifications.
