LEX/REX Turnkey 2244 Products

Icron’s Turnkey solutions are complete USB extension solutions without enclosures. With the Turnkey systems, OEM customers can quickly and easily embed ExtremeUSB® technology into their end applications or custom enclosures. The LEX/REX Turnkey 2244 is a four port high-speed USB 2.0 high-speed extension solution, enabling USB 2.0 connections at up to 480Mbps over 10km/6.2 miles of singlemode fiber optics. The LEX/REX Turnkey 2244 provides a remote four port USB 2.0 powered hub delivering standard 500mA power and supporting all USB device types including Isochronous web cams.

The LEX/REX Turnkey 2244 is powered by ExtremeUSB®, enabled by Icron’s LionsGate™ USB Extension ASIC. ExtremeUSB® provides true USB 2.0 extension at up to 480Mbps over a variety of media, without the need of additional software drivers. A standard installation requires a local unit, the LEX, located near the host computer and the remote unit, the REX, located where desired, up to 10km/6.2 miles from the host PC. The LEX/REX Turnkey 2244 systems require a 5V power supply at the REX unit which can be provided with the system or supplied separately by the customer. The LEX/REX Turnkey 2244 units are available without optical modules, enabling the customer to install their own module supporting longer reach applications.
