GoldenEars ITC205x

Icron GoldenEars™ ITC205x IC is a full-featured USB 2.0 extension ASIC that can extend USB 2.0 data point-to-point or over a Local Area Network. Typical implementations allow connections up to 100m over CAT 5e/6/7, or 10km over fiber optics. Advanced features are enabled including device class filtering for security, SwitchableUSB™, simultaneous users for multiple remote connections to a single USB host, and available network APIs for integration into control systems.

Features

Supports USB 2.0 (high-speed) and USB 1.1 (low-speed, full-speed) host controller and device connections.
Supports USB 3.0 (super-speed) host controller and device connections at USB 2.0 (high-speed) rates.
Supports all USB transfer types: Bulk, Isochronous, Control and Interrupt
Configurable to operate as a LEX at the USB host side or REX at the USB device side of the extension system.
Integrated USB 2.0 compliant PHY for direct connection to USB host, hub or device.
Flexible parallel link interface enables embedded connection to standard physical layer devices:
- MII (Media Independent Interface, 100Mbps)
- GMII (Gigabit Media Independent Interface, 1000Mbps)
- TBI (Ten Bit Interface, 1250 Mbps)
- RGMII (Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface, 1000Mbps)

Integrated MDIO master for configuration and control of standard Ethernet physical layer devices.
Advanced features available such as USB over LAN, SwitchableUSB, vendor lock, device class filtering, and simultaneous user interaction.
Implemented in a 10mm x 10mm 144 ball TFBGA package.
