Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and KVM extension technology is showcasing three new products at InfoComm 2012:

1. USB 3.0 Ranger® 3144 USB 3.0 Extender - Icron demonstrates its innovative leadership in connection extension technology by introducing the world’s first USB 3.0 extender system that is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. The USB Ranger® 3144 extends USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 up to 100 meters over fiber optics while still incorporating the ExtremeUSB® suite of features, such as plug and play installation and being operating system agnostic. Regardless of which USB standard is needed, seamless extension is provided and permits USB throughputs up to 4.8Gbps. The USB Ranger® 3144 will be commercially available in October for OEM/private label as well as under the Icron brand.

2. USB Ranger® 2304 USB 2.0 Extender with SwitchableUSB™ over Network - Icron adds to its extensive USB and KVM extender line-up with the new USB Ranger® 2304 featuring SwitchableUSB™ over Network. Extending USB is as simple as plugging a Cat 5 cable into an Ethernet jack and taking advantage of the existing in-building data network. Designed for remote desktop and monitoring applications, SwitchableUSB™ not only enables the local and remote extenders to find each other across the LAN, it provides the flexibility to re-pair local and remote extenders dynamically. The USB Ranger® 2304 will be available to the market in August for OEM/private label as well as under the Icron brand.

3. EL5200 HDMI® + USB 2.0 Extender - Icron’s new EL5200 HDMI® + USB 2.0 Extender extends USB 2.0 alongside full uncompressed HD 1920 x 1200 resolution video over a single Cat 5 cable without the need for software drivers. Featuring HDBaseT® and Icron’s ExtremeLINK™ technology, the EL5200 is ideal for extending HDMI® and USB connections up to 100m (330 ft) for corporate AV, medical, and digital signage applications. The EL5200 will be commercially available in July for OEM/private label as well as under the Icron brand.
