Overview
The Rover® 1850 is a versatile USB extender designed to extend USB 1.1 connections beyond the desktop up to 85 meters. It operates over standard CAT 5e, 6, or 7 cabling and provides a seamless, software-free connection for a variety of USB peripherals. The system is comprised of two units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). The LEX connects to the host computer via conventional USB cables, while the REX connects to the remote USB device. The use of CAT cabling ensures reliable performance even at extended distances, making it a perfect solution for applications like interactive whiteboards and digital signage.
