The USB 1.1 RV2850 Turnkey is a dual-port extender solution, enabling USB 1.1 connections for both full (12Mbps) and low speed (1.5Mbps) USB devices over 85* meters of Cat 5e cabling.

Overview

Icron’s OEM ExtremeUSB® 1.1 products operate over standard solid core Cat 5e UTP cable (the same wiring used in Ethernet). The USB 1.1 RV2850 Turnkey uses technology ideal for extending USB peripherals without the need for additional software for either the computer or the target devices.

The USB 1.1 RV2850 Turnkey product is composed of two separate printed circuit boards: the Local Extender and the Remote Extender for easy integration into a custom enclosure. Conventional USB cables are used to connect the Local unit to the host computer, and the remote USB device to the Remote unit. Cat 5e UTP cabling is used to connect the Local and Remote units over a distance of up to 85m (279 ft).

Icron’s USB 1.1 RV2850 Turnkey extension system is a 2-port extender, ideal for OEM applications with USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, interactive white boards, and game controllers without the need for external power adapters.
