New HDMI/DVI video plus USB 2.0 extension solution on display at InfoComm14 booth C6038 from June 18th to 20th in Las Vegas, Neveda

Burnaby, British Columbia – June 18, 2014 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, and Broadata Communications Inc, maker of digital optical, HDBaseT, and matrix switchers for HD video, audio, and data multimedia communication applications, today announced that Broadata is enhancing its LinkBridge extender line by incorporating ExtremeUSB® technology to offer customers reliable and robust video extender solutions supporting USB 2.0.

Broadata’s LinkBridge extenders support a complete system design with signal transport over a single multimode fiber optic cable for long distances up to 400m and over a single Cat 5e/6 cable for distances up to 100m. By incorporating ExtremeUSB, robust USB 2.0 functionality is supported over the same single link cable.

LinkBridge extender solutions featuring HDMI + USB 2.0 and DVI + USB 2.0 will be on display by Broadata during InfoComm14 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Nevada beginning today through Friday June 20th at booth C6038.

“We have been collaborative partners with Icron for some time, and we are proud to continue our development together. We feel that with our combined technologies we can offer unique solutions that solve problems in the marketplace and provide competitive cost saving solutions.” said Jim Banda, Director of Sales, Medical Market.

“Broadata has a well earned reputation for providing high-quality products designed for a variety of markets including medical, military, and proAV,” said Glenn Antonelli, Icron’s Vice President of Marketing. “Applications for these markets often require USB devices, in conjunction with video, to operate beyond distances specified by the USB standard. Broadata’s customers will certainly benefit with the addition of ExtremeUSB in the LinkBridge product portfolio.”

Broadata’s LinkBridge extender demonstration at InfoComm14 includes the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers), and compatibility with Windows®, Linux® and Mac OS X® operating systems.
