Icron Technologies Corporation (TSX Venture: IT), a global leader in the design and manufacturing of high-performance USB and video extension solutions today announced the appointment of Neil McDonnell to its Board of Directors.
Mr. McDonnell has more than 25 years of experience in building entrepreneurial organizations and commercializing new technologies. He brings considerable experience in operations, technology development, and global sales and marketing to Icron Technologies. His background in executive management includes CEO, COO and Executive Chairman positions at networking, software and computer peripherals companies. Mr. McDonnell is Chairman of TeraSpan Networks, a fiber-optic networking company. Additionally, Mr. McDonnell serves as President and CEO of Wurldtech Security Technologies and as CEO in Residence for BCTIA’s Centre for Growth.
Mr. McDonnell also serves on the boards and advisory panels of several companies, including the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and TitanStar Properties. Mr. McDonnell holds an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

The Company will issue Mr. McDonnell 50,000 options to purchase common shares at $0.45 per share. The options have a five-year term and will vest in accordance with the company’s standard vesting policies.
