Icron Technologies Corporation and Advanced Simulation Technology Inc. Announce Use of Icron's ExtremeUSB (TM) Technology

Leading Military Contractor Adds Icron’s ExtremeUSB Technology to Its Products

VANCOUVER, BC–(MARKET WIRE)–Jun 15, 2004 — Icron Technologies Corporation (Vancouver:IT.V – News) today announced that Advanced Simulation Technology inc. (ASTi) located in Herndon, Virginia, USA, has incorporated Icron’s ExtremeUSB(TM) technology into its latest generation Telestra hardware.

ASTi’s latest-generation Telestra hardware employs USB for local and remote audio and communications routing. “While standard USB cable connections are limited to 15′, ASTi’s paired Prism and Spectrum extender devices incorporate Icron’s ExtremeUSB(TM) technology to increase USB cable run length to 330′ over Cat5 cable. This provides ASTi customers the flexibility to position our audio interface devices wherever they’re needed,” said Gary Perez of ASTi.

“Icron is proud to be associated with ASTi and is impressed with this novel flight-simulator application of our ExtremeUSB(TM) technology,” said Robert Eisses, Icron VP Sales and Marketing. Icron’s products are typically being used in ‘Remote Computing’ and ‘Physical Security’ segments of the IT marketplace. In these environments, interface devices such as video monitors, keyboards, mice, digital cameras or access control terminals are located at a distance from host computers or servers. Extended distance USB connections that rely on Icron’s ExtremeUSB technology forms the vital link between these peripheral devices and the remotely located computers.
