Direktronik is the sole Swedish distributor for Inside Out Networks, Datacom Textron, Lava, Patton Electronics, Comtrol and Ergotron.

Anders Backlund, Direktronik’s president, stated, “Distance is the only current drawback to USB. Icron’s ExtremeUSBTM technology is the break-through that provides a cost effective solution to the distance problem. Direktronik is extremely excited about the opportunity to introduce the USB Ranger family of products to the Swedish market.”

David Smith, Icron’s vice president of sales and marketing, stated, “We are extremely pleased to announce this partnership with Directronik. As a leader in computer connectivity, our USB Ranger family of products is a natural fit in their portfolio. Their extensive reseller and online sales network will enable them to quickly leverage our ExtremeUSB technology into the Swedish marketplace.”

USB Ranger products, with ExtremeUSB technology, have already gained acceptance in the server, keyboard, video and mouse extension, entertainment, professional audio video, industrial control, computer telephony, webcam services and computer distribution markets.

Icron Systems, Inc. of Vancouver, B.C. has invented ExtremeUSB technology, a practical means of extending the range of USB connections from 5 meters to over 100 meters. Icron has applied for patents covering its inventions and is integrating its technology into a series of products for computing applications. Icron’s Ranger products are the only USB extenders that are compliant with the USB Implementers Forum’s requirements. Icron is committed to working with its partners to increase the total market for USB products by enabling a broad set of new applications that utilize ExtremeUSB.
