Icron Technologies Announces Management Change

BURNABY, British Columbia – Jan. 19, 2009 – Icron Technologies Corporation (TSX Venture: IT), today announced that Robert Eisses has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Eisses will also leave the company’s board.

Julian Elliott, an Icron board member since June 2007, will assume the role of Interim President and CEO. Mr Elliott, a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and Stanford University, has an extensive 25-year career in Silicon Valley in general management or executive positions with Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, and venture-funded companies focused in networking and I/O technologies. Mr Elliott has been Chairman of Icron’s Strategy Committee for the past year and is familiar with the various opportunities presenting themselves to Icron. Additionally, he will lead the board search for a new permanent CEO.
