Lumenera® Showcases Icron Technologies’ ExtremeUSB® Extenders at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014

Solution provides high throughput rates, quality resolution and plug-and-play simplicity up to 100 meters

Ottawa, Ontario – March 25, 2014Lumenera Corporation, a leading manufacturer and developer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for industrial, scientific and surveillance markets, today announced that it will be showcasing Icron Technologies’ USB 3.0 SpectraTM series extenders at the Intertraffic 2014 show in Amsterdam. The demonstrations feature Lumenera’s Lt365R and Lt425 USB 3.0 cameras together with Icron’s USB 3.0 Spectra 3001-15, a 15-meter active cable, and Icron’s USB 3.0 Spectra 3022 100-meter fiber based extender.

Lumenera will be featuring the Lt365R, its latest innovative, high performance USB 3.0 CCD camera. Running 53 fps at full resolution or 66 at an HDTV resolution of 1920 x 1088, the Lt365R series takes advantage of Lumenera’s unique memory buffer technology so frames are not lost while running the camera at the sensor’s maximum output. Running at twice the speed of other USB 3.0 cameras on this image sensor, the Lt365R is ideal for industrial and scientific applications requiring incredibly fast data and reliable image delivery including traffic, tolling, life sciences, slide scanning, high-speed inspection and machine vision.

“Interoperability with Icron’s 15-meter USB 3.0 active cable, and 100-meter fiber based extender demonstrates our commitment to enhancing the compatibility of our products, and offers customers premium solutions to fit within their imaging application,” said Dany Longval, Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Lumenera. “Many of our customers have applications where USB 3.0 and fiber are ideally suited, including transportation which is the focus of the Intertraffic show. This joint solution provides customers with the desirable blend of high throughput rates, quality resolution, plug-and-play simplicity and affordability over a reach of up to 100 meters.”

The Spectra 3001-15 and Spectra 3022 extenders provide reliable USB 3.0 extension at 5 Gbps and feature locking connectors per AIA USB3 Vision™ specifications. As with all Icron products, both Spectra extenders include the ExtremeUSB® suite of features including transparent USB extension, true plug-and-play (no software drivers) and compatibility with all major operating systems including Windows® 8.

Lumenera’s USB 3.0 cameras, along with Icron’s active cable and fiber extender, will be on display at Lumenera’s booth #116 in Hall 03 during the Intertraffic Show from March 25th – 28th.
