ExtremeUSB® technology extends Lumenera USB 3.0 cameras over both short and long-range distances
Burnaby, British Columbia – March 12, 2014 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, and Lumenera Corporation, a leading manufacturer and developer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for scientific, industrial and surveillance markets, today validated joint product interoperability between Lumenera’s USB 3.0 Lt camera series and Icron’s USB 3.0 Spectra™ 3001-15 active 15-meter extension cable.
Lumenera has added the high-speed 2.8 megapixel colour/mono CCD-based Lt365R to its USB 3.0 camera portfolio, providing the fastest frame rate of any USB 3.0 camera using Sony’s powerful ICX674 sensor. Additionally, Lumenera’s USB 3.0 cameras do not require framegrabbers, which simplifies installation and reduces the overall solution cost when compared to other camera interfaces. The Lt365R performance features 53 frames per second (fps) at full resolution, 66 fps at full HD (1920 x 1080), and 109 fps at VGA (640 x 480).
Icron’s Spectra 3001-15 USB 3.0 bus powered copper cable meets the demands of the machine vision market by providing an affordable and reliable 15-meter extension solution for USB 3.0 cameras, including the Lt365R from Lumenera. The active cable provides a full 5V, 900mA of current, features a locking connector and includes Icron’s ExtremeUSB® suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug-and-play (no software drivers) and compatibility with all major operating systems, including Windows® 8.
