Icron exhibiting ExtremeUSB® extenders with Acamar’s UltraHD USB 3.0 camera at the VISION Show from November 4-6 at Messe Stuttgart, Germany
Burnaby, British Columbia – October 21, 2014 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, and Acamar Corporation, a company specializing in image and video processing, today announced successful interoperability testing between Acamar’s ACM518 and ACM801 cameras and Icron’s USB 3.0 extension series: the 15-meter Spectra™ 3001-15 active extension cable and the 100-meter Spectra™ 3022 fiber based extender system.
With an optical format of 1/3”, Acamar’s ACM518 camera delivers exceptional high resolution details with 1080P at 60fps and is ideal for the enterprise applications, including machine vision, video conferencing, medical and video surveillance markets. For customers requiring ultra high definition images, Acamar’s ACM801 provides outstanding 4K resolutions at 30fps and supports 1″ + optical format. Both cameras are compact, USB 3.0 compatible and require low power consumption. All of Acamar’s cameras feature the patented BEYONDVISIONTM image processing technology, which provides unprecedented low light performance beyond human vision with standard industrial grade image sensor, robust wide dynamic range and color fidelity at high definition.
Icron’s Spectra series of extenders provide the ideal extension solution for all USB 3.0 applications. For short range operations, the Spectra 3001-15 is a bus powered copper cable that extends USB 3.0 at 15 meters while providing a full 5V, 900mA of current. If longer extension is required, Icron’s Spectra 3022 extender system has the capability to extend up to 100 meters and beyond over multimode OM3 fiber optic cabling. Both extenders support throughputs of 5Gbps and feature locking connectors per the AIA USB3 Vision™ specification. Additionally, the extenders come with a two-year warranty and include the ExtremeUSB® suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers), and compatibility with all major operating systems including Windows® 8.
