Icron Systems Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with MultiNex to distribute its USB Ranger family of products throughout Scandinavia.

MultiNex, headquartered in Agedrup, Denmark, is a distributor of computers and networking software. MultiNex serves a broad customer base in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Greenland. MultiNex is a certified reseller of Hewlett Packard computers and StarNet Communications networking software.

David Smith, Icron’s Vice President, Sales and Marketing stated, “This distribution agreement strengthens our position in the important European marketplace. Forming strategic partnerships with computer distributors, like MultiNex, is critical to our overall success in the global arena”.

MultiNex’s spokesperson Morten Pilekaer stated, “Deployment of computers with Windows 2000 has allowed enterprise customers to take advantage of the major benefits of USB. Icron’s ExtremeUSBTM technology will enable these enterprise customers to position their USB devices in locations that are convenient for their business applications”.

Entering into agreements with computer distributors, like MultiNex, further illustrates the wide range of market demand for Icron’s ExtremeUSB technology. USB Ranger products, with ExtremeUSB technology, have already gained acceptance in the keyboard, video and mouse extension market, entertainment market, professional audio video and broadcast markets, industrial control and factory automation markets and the computer telephony market.

Icron Systems Inc. of Vancouver, BC has invented ExtremeUSB technology, a practical means of extending the range of USB connections from 5 meters to over 100 meters. Icron has applied for patents covering its inventions and is integrating its technology into a series of products for computing applications. Icron’s Ranger products are the only USB extenders that are “compliant” with the USB Implementers Forum’s requirements. Icron is committed to working with its partners to increase the total market for USB products by enabling a broad set of new applications that utilize ExtremeUSB. Icron is a publicly traded company and trades under the symbol ICM on the Canadian Venture Exchange.
