G&D North America Exhibiting the ControlCenter-Digital KVM Matrix Switch Featuring 4K Video and ExtremeUSB® Extension at InfoComm 2016

Highly flexible KVM switch incorporating Icron’s patented USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 extension technology on display at Booth C4734 from June 8th through 10th in Las Vegas

Burnaby, British Columbia – June 3, 2016 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, announced today that G&D North America (G&D), a leading manufacturer of digital and analogue KVM solutions, will be showcasing its ControlCenter-Digital modular KVM matrix switch enabled with patented ExtremeUSB® 2.0 and 3.0 extension technology from Icron at InfoComm 2016 June 8th through 10th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.

G&D’s ControlCenter-Digital KVM matrix switch features dynamic ports and modular I/O cards to provide maximum flexibility in adapting to various Broadcast and ProAV applications. In addition to transmitting keyboard, mouse, RS232 and USB 2.0 signals, the system also facilitates 4K Ultra HD video with a color depth of 24 bits. The I/O-Card-Multi allows the use of third-party devices to the matrix supporting SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0 or 1GB Ethernet.

The ControlCenter-Digital KVM matrix switch, along with many other solutions from G&D’s product line, has incorporated the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, OS X® and Linux®.

“The ProAV industry demands high quality, reliable KVM and switching systems that can handle increasingly large file sizes,” said Jochen Bauer, G&D’s Marketing Director. “Combining ExtremeUSB 2.0 and 3.0 extension technology with our ControlCenter-Digital KVM switch ensures our customers benefit from the highest image quality; as well as reliable and transparent USB performance, even over long distances.”

“High-quality, reliability and ease-of-use are hallmarks associated with G&D solutions,” said Glenn Antonelli, Vice President of Marketing at Icron. “The intuitive ControlCenter-Digital KVM matrix switch equipped with our ExtremeUSB 2.0 and 3.0 extension technologies enables seamless transfer of video and USB signals over extended distances, typically exceeding the performance metrics of ProAV and broadcast requirements.”

A demonstration of G&D’s ControlCenter-Digital KVM matrix switch enhanced by ExtremeUSB will be featured in booth C4734 at InfoComm 2016 from June 8th – 10th in Las Vegas.
